Unofficially new 2015 Honda Pilot will be completely redesigned. As you have noticed by now, this is our favorite SUV and we try to procure relevant information about it, and that information we publish on this site. Recent information suggests that the 2015 Pilot come completely redesigned, and some sources say that there is the possibility of losing its distinctive boxy design. We expect it to be built on a completely new platform. In addition to design changes it will get some advanced technical features as well as some upgrades that involving off lamps, back-up camera, USB, cruise controller, steering wheel control and upgraded climate control mechanism.
In addition to these changes we expect that the new 2015 Pilot get a brand new interior design. We expect a completely new dashboard design and a different seat design.
2015 Honda Pilot Engine
As for the powertrain, the new generation of the Honda Pilot will be powered by the 3.5 L V6 engine that provides 310 hp and 265 lbs.-ft. of torque. This engine will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission for models with all wheel drive. The front wheel drive versions will be equipped with CVT. We also found out that the 2015 Pilot will have significantly less weight than the current generation. However, remember that these are only unofficial information.
2015 Honda Pilot Release Date and Changes
So it will get a lot changes, and it loses a boxy design. However, we expect that the interior continues to be large as before. The new 2015 Honda Pilot is three rows SUV that can comfortably accommodate up to eight passengers.
Release date is not yet known, but as we found out Honda is already working on this model, and it is in the testing phase. Its price will certainly be higher than the cost of the current model, but we believe that the price of the basic version will not be more than $ 32000.
